Earnest Pugh Walks Away With IMA AwardCongratulations to Crystal Rose/EPM Music recording artist Earnest Pugh who’s album “A Worshipper’s Perspective” was selected as the Winner of the Album - Gospel category in the 6th Annual Independent Music Awards. Pugh’s project was selected from the largest number of entries the program has received to date so his win was certainly a feat. Judges who decided on the winner included mainstream artists Wynonna, McCoy Tyner, Cyndi Lauper and Peter Gabriel and industry executives from companies such as ATO Records, Billboard Magazine, and the American Association of Independent Music. As a winner, Pugh receives a feature in an 8-page spread of the 2007 edition of The Musician’s Atlas and a track included in the IMA Jukebox and the 2007 IMA Winners CD compilation (distributed to 10,000 music fans). Currently, the artist is crisscrossing the nation supporting the project which has spawned radio favorites like “Just For Who You Are”, “Holy Spirit” and “Wrapped Up, Tied Up, Tangled Up”.
